HECTIC WEEKEND!MOOD:
it's so so cold T_TMUSIC:
flo-rida - in the ayerWow ALOT has happened just this weekend. So much ~~
FRIDAYOkay technically doesn't count as a weekend I know. Either way, got home from school and mum's like
"Don't eat anything!! Buffet tonight!" and I'm like O____O Ahahaha, aiyeer. Lucky I skipped lunch today and didn't really eat that much.
Our relatives from Canada came back from Cairns up north in Queensland so mum decided to go treat them buffet. Was looking through all their photos of the Great Barrier Reef - there was this turtle that was like, as big as a grown person. It was freaking HUMUNGOUS. Aish, they're so lucky. Went scuba-diving, sight-seeing, buy souvenirs. Also went to Fraser Island dammit! Lots of dingos there =O
Aye...buffet was gooooood. Seriously stuffed myself for like..an hour. Just sit there and EAT EAT EAT. Lucky already exercised earlier that day. Otherwise I'd have felt so so sick LOL.
Got home then skyped all night LOL. Needed to practice for a jap exam. So me and a friend just ended up talking in japanese the whole night ahahaha
SATURDAY
Had a HSC Jap Speaking exam in Parramatta High School. Had to wake up so early just to get to the place at 8:15am. If you came late..you'd get a zero for the exam =x They're seriously..so harsh.
Met up with the rest of the guys there, practice practice like crazy until we'd each get called up to an examination room and sit there with an examiner for 10mins and talk to them in Japanese lol. Most of it's based of certain topics eg. school, family, planning a trip, culture etc. Basically, examiner sits there with a
tape recorder and asks you questions, and you just answer and talk as fluently as you can lol
Examiner:
"doushite nihongo wo benkyou shite imasu ka?"Me:
"rokunen mae atarashii nihongo no ongaku wo kikihajimete sore kara itsumo nihon no kyoumi ga aru. sore de, watashi no nichiban suki na kashu wa..e tou..tabun utada hikaru to iu hito deshou"Examiner:
"eh?! utada hikaru san ga shitte deshou? sugoi" - gives wideeyed face -LOL XD She sounded so shocked and gave me a puzzled face. Is it really that hard to believe? =O Ahh my examiner was cool though, she was really nice. Alot better than that other woman that was in the examination hall where we all gathered. She gave us instructions and looked cranky; like she hated her job or something. =P
Saw Kelvin from tutoring and his friend Erica (erika? not sure) at the exam. Didn't know he took my session. Erica is CRAZY at jap. Was giving her a random question to talk about and she talked and talked and TALKED so fluently. T__T crazy girl. Crapped around with them for a bit
Anyway after exam, crapped with friends at Parra. Then they went off to watch Dark Knight - I had to go tutoring, took bus to Epping.
Guess who I end up seeing on the same bus as me. KELVIN. The most ironic thing is, earlier on Thursday I met him randomly at the mall. Then today see him TWICE. Furthermore I have tutoring with him later that day, see him 3 TIMES.
Kelvin:
"omg its you. stop stalking me man. it's creeping me out"LOL. Wrong way around man, I think its
you that keeps
stalking ME.
Then it just gets crazier ~ at Epping, I end up seeing
Joanna's mum. She's so so nice, so we ended up having a chat at the bus stop LOL. Last time when I went to Jo's house, talked with her for quite a while (Jo says I have an unusual knack of gettin along really well with people's parents ^^; She says me and di's dad also have a good bond. not entirely false, i've known di's dad for years now and he's seen me grow up LOL) So yeah, was good to catch up with her again.
Tutoring same old same old. Except OMG, something so weird. After tutoring, Kelvin's like
"ohh jim, erika wants your email. whats your email?"And I'm thinking to myself
"i barely talked to her...and she wants my email? O__O"Kelvin's response after I give him a weird look:
"she thinks you're a really nice guy. but dont think anything weird...i hope..."Me: yeah....okay.
That "i hope" is a bit....O___O
Anyway, after that, go home and parents are like:
STOP! Don't EAT! ITALIAN RESTAURANT TONIGHTAnd I'm thinking to myself... "omg 2 nights in a row" HAHAHA. But seriously, the FOOD WAS SO NICE. ITALIAN FOOD IS AWESOME. Since Canadian relatives leaving on Sunday, had to give them a final
goodbye dinner. I swear, another weird thing happened. Maybe I took it awkwardly, but yehhh. During dinner, Cassandra (one of the daughters of my canadian cousin) nudges me and slips a piece of paper in my hand. I open it up, her email's written on it. And then she like..gives me a quick glance and looks away. And I'm thinking to myself...
"why make it seem so awkward..." Maybe she's shy LOL. But how can..that girl is so noisy and loud and crazy.
**** 2 people's emails in 1 day****
After THAAT like always, parents make unexpected plans. Ended up going to my aunt's house where they're staying.
THEIR DOG "CHEEKO" IS SO CUUUUTE ^____^ It's a...Terrier x Shi Tzu i think? OMG MAN I WANT A DOGGGG. Someone buy me a dog. =( All of us were playing with the dog. -wants a doooog-
Ohh got ang-pao from my relatives. $50! ^___^
Got home, went STRAIGHT TO BED after shower. Wanted to call DOLLY actually, but was too tired, and got home too late. Maybe another day.
SundayGot woken up to the noise of the doorbell playing some strange ring that my dad changed it to. Canadian relatives dropped by to say their final goodbyes before heading off. But man, coming at 8am in the morning when I'm dead asleep =( I was half woken, but by the time I fully woke up, already left. Aiyeeer, never fully got to say goodbye. Sad le
Apart from that, today been so-so.

Olympic games closing ceremony today. The Olympics have been awesome. 16 days of sport, sport and more sport. It's the spirit of the Olympics that have really shone through. Not the golds silvers or bronzes, but the companionship, dedication and determination that each and every one of the athletes display.
It's never about the winning. It's about the attitude, the spirit, the whole feel of the games. Events like these only happen once every 4 years. And every 4 years the world stops to watch athletes from 200+ nations pour their hearts and souls into sports they have dedicated their lives to.
From the brilliance of the Opening Ceremony, to Michael Phelps' 8 gold medals, to watching China vs China in the final of the table tennis, the world has watched the 16 most exciting days of 2008 come and go in a flash. And only an hour or so from now, the Ceremony will commence to close another legacy in the Olympic Games
The
tears, the
joy, the
pain, the
triumph.
If there is anything to learn from this, it's that under the banner of sport, the conflict of nations breaks down. Under the banner of sport, nations stand as one in friendly rivalry. Under the banner of sport, we attempt to resolve the stifling issues that permeate the world, causing pain and suffering to others.
But most of all, the idealism the games uphold really can be summed up in its motto.
ONE WORLD. ONE DREAM- jim
