MOOD: Happy and at peace =) MUSIC: ne-yo - because of you // DBSK - mirotic // savage garden - to the moon and back
Just typing this out while I'm typing up all my practicals that I've done for physics. Haha study can be a bore. And I get so distracted so easily! =( Can't focus on something for too long, which really, is one of my weaknesses. Got to work on it haha..
Don't really plan anything much at all today. Just as the title says, another lazy day in, study. Relax. Actually, I finally picked up a book again and started reading. The first time I've voluntarily read something in like, so many months. Seriously ahaha, reading can be fun if you find the right book. And I'm lucky enough to have found one!
BOB EISLER - HARD RAIN (2002)
Plot (http://barryeisler.com/hardrain.php): In Hard Rain (Blood from Blood, UK), the lethal assassin John Rain is back. Rain—half-Japanese, half-American, raised in both countries but at home in neither—is trying to leave his life as a freelance assassin, but no one will let him just retire. With his military discipline and martial arts skills, and his talent for making death appear to have been of “natural causes,” he is both a potential asset—and a threat—to everyone.
After killing a CIA officer who had hunted him halfway around the globe, Rain plans his own disappearance, hoping to find the peace that has eluded him. But then his old nemesis from the Japanese FBI comes to him with one last “favor:” find and eliminate a killer at large, a creature without compassion or conscience.
It’s soon clear that it’s not just Japan’s fragile balance of political power that’s threatened, but also the lives of Rain’s few friends, including that of a love from his past. To protect them, Rain must pursue his lethal quarry into the heart of a war between the CIA and the Japanese mafia, where the distinctions between friend and foe and truth and deceit are as murky as the rain-slicked streets of Tokyo.
It's really quite a good book so far. Only 1/3 through and I've really enjoyed it. Thing is, its the 2nd book in a series. But you can't tell really, cause it fills in alot of gaps for you. I love this sorta thriller genre. =] Actually I also found out the first book in the series (Rain Fall) is being made into a blockbuster movie, expected release in April 2009. I'm looking forward to it!
Haha started playin audition again today, after like, a 1month hiatus. Oh man, it feels so strange to get back to what started it all, but hey, it's tres fun. After HSC, start some serious gaming la!
On an entirely different note, started getting into a new singer. Presentiiiinggg: > Yu Yamada (山田優) She debuted around 2006? I never actually gave her single a shot, cause when it comes to new artists, I like getting recommended them rather than going out and hunting for new singers ahaha. But man, she's not too bad. Very much your typical j-popper. Alot of techno-ish / poppy beats.
Her debut single: REAL YOU
Okay I'll admit she's not the best looker when it comes to photos
But I reckon she looks really good in the MV!
Currently downloading her album. Her music..very reminiscent of Ayumi Hamasaki somewhat. All the electronica. And her dancing isnt' bad. For once, a female jap singer with decent dancing! Hahaha, but seriously, when it comes to asian dancers, the girl that tops the cake for me is Hyori Lee.
Hyori Lee - Shall we Dance
I seriously, have only one thing to say to that
OMFG THAT IS SO HOT XD
