MOOD: GoodMUSIC: DBSK - OWent to city today for friend's birthday party. Actually, was supposed to go there at around 12-noon because dad needed to get home before I could leave the house and he was in a v. important meeting in the morning. Luckily he called me around 8am and said he could come home in time for me to get to city by 11am like we arranged. Met ALOT of new people. Only knew like, 2-3 people. The rest (around..10-13 others, never met before in my life lol), all very interesting people. Aiyo, there was one really chio one. Somemore she damn smart la. Ahaha I explain later ^^;Lunch was some new Jap restaurant that opened up recently in the city.
"Pepper's Lunch" or something (ahaha the name so..strange). The concept of their cooking was very similar to the chinese hot-pot with the black plate and the food sizzling on it. So naturally, service was VERY quick. Within 5mins the food already arrived. But you have to cook your own food. All the food comes onto the plate, and it's really hot, so you just stir stir stir and let the hot plate do the cooking for you. Tried some of their
Beef Pepper Rice. Doesn't take long to cook, but the plate is DAMN HOT (never try touching it for fun LOL - I learnt the hard way). Funny though, at the front of the restuarant, they were proclaiming it was
new and innovative technology in Japanese cooking. Aiyo man, the chinese were already using the hot plate for YEARS and YEARS already. Why so slow? =p Either way, cheap food is still good ! ^__^ And it was tasty.
After that, karaoke at Big Echo at George St. Apparently it's the only kbox that's got 4 microphones. All the others in city only got 2. The room was quite cramped though. 15 of us in a room, can get quite hot very quickly. Ahh sing until my throat's all dead lol. Ohh, but we had a game of dice on the side as well. Quite hard to explain how to play, but we decided to play torture. We brought alot of food and drink into the kbox even though there was a HUGE SIGN at the front of the shop saying
"DONT BYO FOOD AND DRINK". I have no idea how we got away with it. Somemore the manager also saw us bring in the food. I guess they're not that strict. So then for torture, if you lost the round, someone would make you a drink and you'd HAVE to drink + eat everything in the cup. The most DISGUSTING game ever. I lost like, 4 times, felt SO SICK after the 2nd cup. Somemore lost twice in a row. Was really bad.
Combinations of drink:
- Ginger beer +
tomato juice (yuck!) + prawn cracker inside drink
- Jellybeans + lemonade + tomato juice + fanta
But the most disgusting one la:
- ginger beer + lemonade + tomato juice +
OREO + prawn cracker
Okay OREO's are really nice right? But..the minute you put it into soft-drink all the chocolate starts dissolving into disgusting flakes and the whole OREO becomes really really soggy even after 3-4 seconds of being put in the drink. Leave it longer than 30secs and the whole thing dissintegrates into tiny chocolate mushy soggy wet disgusting bits. OMG I felt
SO DAMN SICK after eating the OREO. Right now, I have the biggest grudge against OREOs. -shudders- disgusting. Until you try it, you'll have no idea how bad it was. And omg. Who the hell invented
TOMATO JUICE?! It's like diluted tomato sauce. It is SO GROSS T_T Aiyo, never drinking that stuff ever again. It's just so awful, made me feel like puking.
Ahh but overall kbox was damn funny. Also saw Shirley =O She was with her friends at another room at the kbox. We saw each other in the corridor and were like:
"OMG ITS YOU"
"OMG WHAT'RE YOU DOING HERE?!"
"I'M KARAOKE-ING LA. YOU?"
"OMG ME TOO"
ROFL ^^;; We had the most pointless conversation ever at that point in time. After that, caught train with Irene and went home from there. Anyway where was I...ohh the chiobu ^_^
Ahaha she's so interesting =O Really. Was talking with her and her friends, apparently she's coming first in her grade at school in 3 subjects =O KNS la, so smart?! She reminded me of 3 friends combined into one. She look very similar to one, talk very similar to another one of my friend, and as smart as a 3rd friend of mine. -
lol hybrid - Nowerdays so hard to find smart chiobu with good personality XD Aye, hope to see her sometime in the future.
